Hi Tim.... yes you would need your NHRA stuff, Kilkare is an NHRA track. If you need a number to call for the chassis cert just let me know

I was looking at the results from the 04/11 race and only two people entered in D/R? Can that be true? My car is almost finished and I will be testing soon but there is one thing that will hold me up and that is an NHRA license which leads me to my rant. Why in the world does NHRA have to charge so much for chassis cert and license? I have my IHRA cert and license but that jump to NHRA is crazy! I wonder if the car count would be better at an IHRA track? I know what the answer is but is there a way to run a special event like this at an NHRA track with an IHRA license?

There were 3 cars but Trace was having probs after a test pass and decided to look ino it without killin the car. But either way 2 or 3, thats not good lol. I dunno why NHRA does what it does, i think thats why there are a lot of other Orgs out there lol. I am going to make a few calls, and ill get back to you when i have some answers. I need to verify with SFI & Kilkare and basically make sure insurance would be covered.

You might give Kanawha valley dragway a call, maybe do a race or two over this way. I am trying to get the car finished up quickly so I can come over and race but that NHRA license thing is killing me. I know in the past I could race at any NMRA event even with my IHRA license (even if the track was an NHRA track). I wondered if since this is your event you might have the power to make that decision. Thanks for listening to me complain. GW

Im stickin with Kilkare for around the OH area, but i may be putting on a one time event at No Limit (old US 41) and making it all 1/4. There are some things in the works Ill def look into it though. I would think if you've ran at NMRA that way then it shouldnt be an issue. Yea i might be able to work something out, thats why i wanna make a few calls. Basically since we go by our own rules we can do what we wanna do but i have to make sure safety & insurance wise you/us would be covered. Haha no worries if i can make it happen i will, as i think this could bring a lot more people out!
