Well my goal was GA and I wasn't able to make it there, but I while I was watching the highlights online and made a lot of progress on the car. I am looking forward to joining this class the rest of the year. The car will be out the rest of the year pending melting the motor in testing. I am going to have the car at WFC doing some testing and getting the new car bugs out. The car goes in for the install of the fast system next week. Then back to the chassis shop to get scaled and aligned and then finally to the track.

Basically have to wait on my fluids to get in tomorrow to install the converter, engine and trans, and do a little bit of wiring for the car. Here are a few new photos. I will post some more this weekend as the car progresses more. I look forward to joining everyone at the track, but with all the 8.6's and 8.7's I maybe a little off for a while Just hope to catch up!

Later,

Chris

Here are a few more photos, ordered a starter that wouldn't work the first time got that corrected now! Car is getting fast, rear brakes, and a few more items done should be running in a few weeks. The car's stance looks a lot better with wieght in the front and the drop spindles. Originally had the stock ones and the car didn't sit like I wanted it to.

I did have one question on the PA race, what time do they typically start round 2 and 3 of qualifying? I found out I have a mandatory meeting friday morning at work so can't leave Missouri till noon on Friday, but I could make it and roll it about 8am on Saturday morning dead and there just to get on the ladder. How hard will tech be on a new car or am I waisting my time and killing myself if I am not going to get to run.

Thanks for the advice.

Chris

Thanks for the info and the compliment on the paint. On the paint the car spent 187 hours in the booth getting airbrushed, I am glad that is where a lot of my sponsorship came from. Dupont supplied all the paint I helped with the labor and a friend of mine who started his own custom paint place supplied the talent at a low rate. I just have to take the car to a lot of local car shows and his logo is airbrushed in the car in 3 places. The guy does awesome work if you ever know anyone wanting airbrushing done at a reasonable rate give him a call his website is http://www.herroncustompaint.com

as for the intake it is just a victor jr intake in the picture still has the lift plate on it to instal the engine and tranny.

Car looks great, how tall is that hood and who made it?

I picked up the hood a few years ago when I bought the BIW, it is a 5 inch extended it just is a little wider and comes up quicker. I am measuring at the cowl for the hieght it stays at 5 a lot longer then most I have seen.

Scott no problem, I respect that got to help market Sticker Dudes, just I like I did my guy. If I wouldn't have got the hook up with Dupont and my paint sponsor, I would have done a solid color with a full wrap. So do you think Stickerdudes can hook me up with numbers and names to match the paint at WFC?

Thanks for the compliments, I just can't wait to get it finished. All these little items are just adding up and I wasn't planning on. Oh well that is what master card is for. Still hoping to have the car at WFC doing some testing and to make maple grove. Maple grove is going to be crazy if I can make it because I can't leave MO till 1pm on friday. If I make it I will probably only make 3rd round of qualifying and make a soft run just to get on the ladder and then see what happens. It could be a lot of driving for 2 passes so I have to try to convince my boss I can miss the mandatory meeting on Friday!

Well I ran into a few small issues that every new car has (cracked master cylinder, Fuel lines that hit the ditrubter and a few other small things) I have to do a little more wiring on the nitrous system, trans brake then finish the wiring on the fast. SO looks like WFC is not going to happen but still shooting for Maple Grove. Will add a few more pics of the engine with the efii etc done next week.
