1989 Mustang LX 5.0 Sedan "Survivor"
This car is rare not only for the options (or lack there of), but for surviving 16 years and over 165,000 miles of driving and remaining unmolested and all original. It has survived with at least 80% of it's original paint. Front bumper cover, hood, and right front fender appear to have been painted a long time ago. CARFAX is clean. It is in truely remarkable condition considering the miles, and runs and drives very well as this car is as quiet and tight as any. No rust, just where some of the stone ships have not been touched up. It does have the little door dings and things like you would expect, but no damage. Very good 10 footer. The underside is still blue and clean, and has never been rustproofed or gooped up. Interior is in remarkable condition, no leaning seats, and the ashtray door works like new. This car was ordered in Regatta Blue Metallic, with gray vinyl interior, no A/C, no cruise, no power windows, no power locks, no power mirrors, no power trunk release, no power gas door release, radio delete, antenna delete, nothing......In fact, the only options that were ordered were an AOD automatic transmission and the vinyl interior! No other options came on this car. This car had to be ordered as a "Stock Eliminator" car, that just never made it to the track. It is documented through the Third Generation Mustang Resistry as "1 of 4" made in Regatta Blue with Gray vinyl interior, and more than likely "1 of 1" with an automatic transmission and lack of options.
This is a car for someone that truley wants a unique Mustang that isn't like all the others. This car deserves a real restoration and hopefully someone that is capable of that will purchase it.
Runs and drives fantastic, and obviously the miles are greatly highway miles. Still have original shocks and struts, plug wires, ect...... and I wouldn't hesitate to drive it cross country. I bought it a year ago to modify, but don't have the heart to.
Flowmaster mufflers and 3.55 gears, otherwise stock right down to the air silencer in the fender.
Own a piece of Mustang history for $4500 firm, only serious buyers please.........
Not really interested in any trades unless it's stock and original.
