MD Motorsports is proud to announce it's partnership with Dynojet Research for the 2006 NMRA season. MD Motorsports co-owner, Brandon Alsept, will be campaigning his 1998 Mustang GT in the NMRA Pure Street category. Pure Street is a limited naturally aspirated category that has traditionally been dominated by 302 based pushrod combinations. The MD Motorsports car will feature a Boss330 Racing DOHC Modular combination.

Even though the Modular engines have been in Mustangs since 1996, they are just now beginning to shine in heads up racing. “We hope to take the success that Bob Cosby, Shawn Johnson and Jeff Schmell have had in Factory Stock and take it to the next level in Pure Street”, said Alsept.
“Thanks to some preliminary testing we were able to do with my car last year, I believe we can have a solid 2006 season. Pure Street should be a very popular class in 2006 based on 2005 participation and I think we are up to the challenge”, said Ken Bjonnes, Crew chief and co-owner of MD Motorsports. We’ve been using our Dynojet 224x day in and day out for years, from tuning street cars to our own product development, it’s been a great piece of equipment. We thought the relationship was a natural fit, Dynojet is the leader in chassis dynos and MD Motorsports is one of the premier Ford EFI tuners in the country. MD Motorsports was behind the 2005 Factory Stock Champion, Shawn Johnson and will be involved in his program for the 2006 season. Just look around the industry and even within the NMRA, most successful tuners and teams are using Dynojet dynos. “
