general price question

I know a majority of the power from a P/S car is from the heads and cam and intake. Just to say in the heads, intake, and cam...what kind of investment is there in a P/S legal semi-competitive set-up? I know this is very general but just curious in a ball park idea? AFR 165s, custom cam, RPM II intake along those lines.

Hmmm, I'd say wrong heads.
But your key word was "Semi" competitive. That only cost about $10-$12K. To be competitve and win a race or two, you'll need to spend about $20K on the right parts just for the engine. Knowing who builds the best parts is the key.
