You better read through the rules a few more times! I'm sure if you missed that then you missed a few other things.

well actually someone else suggested that size tire. Assumeing they knew the rules. but they may have been thinking more along the lines or DR or something.......and I didnt see any since in learning the prelim's really, at least until the actual rules come out, that is one rule I was hoping wouldnt change. I just cant see them all of a sudden allowing the MT though!

The problem he is going to have is the rules aren't final yet so he thinks is legal might not be...

I have no problem buying good used parts, but I want to make sure my back spaceing is correct. Are both of you running these on Mod cars or fox bodies....because I mean if they fit your car and they are fox bodies......then they will work.........right?

A 15x10 with 5" backspacing will not fit on a Fox body car without narrowing the rearend, which may be illegal next season. To run a 10" wheel you will need about 6.5" of backspacing.

thanks for that info ian!

To use an 8 inch wheel on a fox body you will need a 5.5 inch back space if I'm not mistaken.

4.5" backspacing will work as well with a 15 x 8.

I have mine on a foxbody, but as already posted the rearend is narrowed, and that may not be legal next year. Shawn has his on a 99 up car

The rear in Shawns car is not narrowed but he is running a fox rearend in a 99+ body which will allow for a 5" offset 15x10 to fit. What size tire do you plan to run 275/50 or 275/60?

ya know, right now if I had it figured out I'd tell ya. But I'm just as lost as I was the day I ask the question in the first place...lol....... I do know a guy has a set of 275 60 15's local that are brand new.....I may get those from him in the next few days. Unless some convinces me I need the 275 50 15's!
I also have a buddy that has a set of wheels like what I'm looking for.(correct offset) I'll probably be buying those used. Hey if it saves me a few bucks.......and their in good shape I can't go wrong. The offset is correct according to my buddy.......but if this deal falls thru I may try to get one of these two sets that you two guys listed.
obviously I need a good light set of wheels.......but i dont want em to be butt ugly either, ya know!
Thanks

In my opinion, I'd go with a 15x10" wheel sith 6.5" backspacing and 275/50/15's. Many of the pushrod guys run the 60's but I'm not convinced they are the best route.
So a Fox rear is all I need to tuck in these 5"bs 8.5 wide Centerlines with 275/50's? Anyone got pics to show of this or tell me how far on each side they will move inward on a '03 Mach?

The fox rearend is about 3/4" narrower per side. If you are gonna run F/S next year the fox rearend is illegal in any 99+ bodied car.
