I'm looking into running PS in the next few years, and was casually looking through the rules today. I noticed that external data recorders are not allowed, but I was wondering about the logging feature in my EPEC. It can record data from a few of the engine's sensors, and was wondering if this is ok? It does not require the laptop to be in the car during the run.
Also, I noticed the new proposed rule about allowing widebands, which is great IMO. I currently use a LM-1, which I currently use to log A/F and rpm. Looking at the rules, it seems this would be illegal because it has the ability to log other functions (although none of them are wired up).
Thanks guys,
-Drew
