It was a bad night to say the least. I'm glad it ended on a good note. I just can't believe the MPH. I told you that N/A BB weight break was to much!:D You know Kelly has got to be reading this, so be careful not to put your own foot in your mouth! ::eek: That puts two VERN HOUSE RACE CAR chassis at the front of the pack. I'm sure Doug will be soon to follow. He had competitive ET's and stout MPH's last night as well on practice passes. It looks like our slow NOS SB will have to find a way to keep up. We're still the quickest car in the shop.:p

........oh wait, this is OSM. We dont add weight to people cuz they do well :D

At least not till next year anyway hahaha! :p

WEW! I almost crapped when I read that until I got to the bottom line. Our NOS SB will never see 130 MPH, but it has seen 5.58.:p I like your approach though, as long as rules are adjusted to keep parity. With the 1.48 60ft. on Vern's pass he was haulin' the mail to go 5.67. If or when he gets the 60ft. figured out watch out! I did a comparison of his incrementals to my 5.58 pass and he was .07 quicker from the 60ft. timmer to the finish line. If all else fails we'll just have to make a few adjustments on the tune up when we NEED to. ;) We'll be out testing some more, just in case we ever get in a situation where a 5.50 pass is needed, all we need to do is load the program, install the jets, flow the fuel and roll to the line. The board has been dead lately, has anybody else been out testing? Bramwell, any more of those 5.50 passes or were you guys trying to give Art a hard time? It's been to long and someone has got to be testing somewhere.

Shinning the Caddy or what? With car sales so slow you should have plenty of time to test. just break out some of that old moldy money. If you don't have enough just print more.;)

That is all big block cars. They are lighter and make more HP and torque then the SB motors make with power adders. Also, shouldn't Q-16 be considered a power adder for NA cars?

New weight for 8.5 cars:

BB NA combos-3350 lbs
SB NA combos-3100 lbs
SB with power adder-3250 lbs
BB with power adder-3500 lbs

LOL sorry Art, but i will never put 3500 lbs on these cars. If they already weight that, i cant help that but i feel that 3500 is an unsafe weight especially on these tires.

Weight maybe an issue but, speed is more of an issue, I think. Ok, 3475 lbs.

Turbo, I think we can do business, but you have typos on your last two entries.

I think all Small block fords should have to weigh 3350 and BB NA fords should weigh 2700 and the winner of the last race should have a .500 added to his times . also small blocks are the ones who rule 1/8 mile right  so I think there should be a weight break for Big blocks ALL BB like 800lbs

Sorry, the BBs already get a huuuuuuuuuuuge break and it needs to be fixed. I like my idea (of course) and turbo is not far behind except for his turbo "stuff". Maybe Bramwell can get him "educated".;)

Hey Justin, calm down. You know Art has got to complain about something. I noticed he's a SENIOR MEMBER. I think he replies to his own posts sometimes just because he has nothing better to do. SB's have been the quickest (were the fastest too), but for the fastest there's a new sheriff in town. I say leave the weights alone and lets play ball for now. As long as Kelly keeps an eye on things. I just don't want to see the slower cars get run off by ANY combo incuding ours. My fear is with the ET's and MPH's a few cars have already ran, some may already be considering not showing. I only have one complaint and have been up front to everyone from day one. Q-16 is an oxygenated fuel, therefore it is a power adder in itself. A N/A combo should not be allowed to run the fuel. An extra 30-40 hp from a fuel change is huge. That's just how I feel. Nothing personal. I like all you guys and Vern's new shop is at our location. We are all friends. We'll be testing Wednesday with Vern to see what we can do to keep up with that N/A BB beast.

seeing how the NA combo is so superior I think we will set out :(and let all the NOS small blocks have at it . we know the Big Block NOS combo is at the most disadvantage to much weight for the tire IMO. one day the tire technology will catch up to the power and weight of the big block power adder combos then they will fly. until then poor Dave day with his 433 big block will be donating to the cause but with his ladder bar car maybe he can be the first big block power adder to win the championship next year with new motor

Also the new rule should be NO BIG BLOCKS ONLY SMALL BLOCK NOS COMBOS and NO Q16 just C16 .

Kelly, I read that. Justin and Art are always giving each other a hard time , but it's all in fun. What I said was just my feeling about the class I care about in general. Other than that I can't wait til Saturday! This is a heads up class and it's only logical that racers will try to push the limits on ET and MPH. Vern don't get your pants in a wad. You've got a super nice engine and chassis. Let's see just what it can do. OSM's BB NOS weight is 3300lbs. That's not to bad. The problem is the torque on the small tire. I agree with you on the BB NOS. I'm ready to get at it. It will be good for the class to have a new combo that is competitive. There's other cars out there I'm sure trying to go faster too.

Put something on 8.5s that is legal. We need the car count and so does Kel.

With your financial resources that should not be a problem. Shouldn't you be working??:)

Justin: you know that bigger has always meant more. Sooooooo, if a big block it should weight more, that is bigger.:p

When it comes to weight I say let the #s speak for them selves but if your gonna express concern about other combinations or if real consideration is given to adding or removing weight from a combo the powers at be shoud be DAMN SURE the disadvantaged combo is fully utilized, optimized and pushed to the freaking limit, not just what that particular car has to work with, or how mush spray they a comfortable using to stay on top. The combo needing help should be an absolutely serious effort for the combo represented.

I can't believe any Outlaw class was ever concieved to allow people to run up front with a real careful mild tuneup and not even have to lean on the equipment !! I suppose there could be a class for that, it could be called .......Get This .. deep thought went into this one.

" Outlaw Sand Bag and Hide in a Slow Entry level Class for Years and Beat Up on New Guys " Hey Kelli there is a new class for ya.

If you are running a NOS combo and not spraying it with at least a 500 hit, you don't have any room to complain about others combos cause you are not pushing your own. I'll state a couple of examples. Pat Wheatly and Mark Lohr are two individules who have selected the NO2 combination and flogged it to death to compete against Monster N/A, Turbo and Blown competipors. I know combined they have burned a 100 pistons learning how to tune their combos on big nitrous hits and that is just the way it is on that combo. If you want to make your power with N2O then use a bunch of it and then if your combo needs help no one will care.

As far as Q16 fuel goes it stinks and if there is really a 20 to 30 hp advantage then add weight for it and I can get rid of this stinkin shit, makes the whole shop reek. !!!
