So does anyone have any news, rumors, new car that might come out next year, any one for sure leaving Real Street, will Bruce return to show us what a plate system can do, will rule changes help the car count or will slowing the class down ? Come on, out with it no one really cares.

Will Brian and Brian get there own identities
Will Robin finally get enough sponsors to take home the championship
Will Craig race the full season for once
Will Hooty make top 10 again by only going to 2 races
Will Tim and Jimmy return with their between round engine swap circus
Will Bruce quit playing interior decorator and bring nitrous back to the front of Real Street.
Will Michael learn a few things from talking with Bruce and Chris
Will Jay and John be sellouts or will they stay a cute couple
Will Jim Coger get advice from Street Race champ DEZ and come out and whoop all of us
Will Richard take notes from this year and come out flying
Will Mr. Leonard and Orange machine be back to take revenge on those of us that had him tore down (ouch)
Will Jonathan Music be back playing a different tune

Come on I started it fire away:D

Clipped form the Preliminary rules announcement on NMRA...Additional changes will be implemented which will bring the F/S cars closer to real street cars, including the return of standard-style tailpipes and mandating a stock-type sway bar. Real Street will be slowed down to an initial target e.t. range of 10.20-10.30 using a combination of valve spring, retainer, pushrod, blower belt, nitrous jet, and revised weight limits.

The goal of the R/S and F/S adjustments will be to ensure the future of the two categories as entry-level street classes within the NMRA, and to keep them in an e.t. range which permits a competitor to build a vehicle in a manner which avoids the more costly roll cage and safety equipment required with quicker e.t.’s.

This ought to get all the guys who made the step into the 9.90's real happy.

Nice, I just put in new springs, retainers, and locks in my heads. Never even run yet.

I hope this isn't the direction they take Real Street. I would hate to see all of the serious racers leave the class only to watch some street cars run (I know..."intent"), that's what the bracket classes are for.

I guess we'll wait and see....

It's probably not going to be as bad as you guys think, but if it is, there's always the NMCA's Street Race class.

Mike Dez and I may try to put something together for next year. We're waiting on the final rules. One thing for sure is that I'll have a new block.

I know of a VERY serious new Mod motored car from Ohio. The engine builder's told me the expected rules are keeping them from any dyno time. I saw the spec sheet, this thing is bad ass.
