I should be there , I think i've got a slight handle on my comp. prob. that plauged me last season . Went testing and was promissing with a 11.800@114.60 with a 1.602 60ft and engine still on the fat side and still at last years weight but still not .30's.

Sweet three cars , looks like maybe I'll be able to make it to the finals or semi-finals for once. Looks like I won't need to bring out the 347/with camoed AFR 185s-hidden nos combo that I would've needed with Tommy and Steve running.

Well,Well,Well,
Stay tuned to the first episode of the famous Soap Opera called Factory Stock!!! Did Johnathan sell his car ? Well maybe! Did Johnathan sell his motor? Well maybe? Is Tommy racing this year and who"s car is he driving? Is Jeff Schmell racing? The soap opera continues! Does Chalie Rankin have a new motor? He he he! and were did he get it? Who built it? Is that slow Old man still driving? What is Carlos up to? You never know what he will do! Rumors are afloat of the Farmer getting major sponsorship with John Deer will the car be green and yellow! You never know ! Will John Leslie show up with the car all together? Did he get that super secret motor from Rich Groh? You never know! All these questions will hopefully be answered in the first episode of "As Factory Stock Turns"!
See You all in Florida,

Update.... I'll be there, but I'm not racing... Chassis Engineering laid off a bunch of people and now the guy doing my cage can't get material... So my cage won't be done in time. I'm livid.

John Z - who is doing your cage? I may be able to point you in the right direction....

A local guy down here in South Florida. He use to be out in Arizona. The owner of BBR knows him, I'll be damed if I remember his name. I know, sounds horrible. I just can't think of it. I've been told his name hundreds of times and for some reason, I just can't remember it. He's damn good though. He does lots of funny car chassis. He's doing my whole 10 pt. cage and subframes for just over a grand. I can't complain about that. But we ordered the material from Chassis Engineering and they dropped the ball. I've already payed the money for the material.

You're crazy to let that happen. Just get the money back from Chassis Engineering. Should be able to get your materials from a local metal supply place anyway.

Jonathan Paulk

Sounds like you ordered a kit from Chassis Engineering and he is charging you over a grand to put it in....I had the 8pt chrome-moly roll bar installed in my coupe back in 2004 for less than $900, he provided the material. Man, has metal gone up...Sure would call them and tell 'em you want a refund...

They do sell raw tubing also.

Another thing to consider. You only need a cage/bar if you go quicker than 11.50's. Whether the car is capable or not, you can keep it at 11.50 or higher, go some rounds at your home race and get it put in later. It's a brand new car, fact is, it probably won't be quick enough out of the hole to need the bar anyway.

Play nice Ken, you never know he might show you how a 2v should actually run ;)

John_Zeilinga

Thats what I ordered was all straight tubing. He was going to bend it all himself. It was cheaper that way. If someone has any idea where I could get tubing from down here in Florida please let me know.

Yeah. You must of missed Tommy's post. He passed the smack talking baton to Steve. Since Steve can't type, I'm helping out. lol

You know it's true. How many people, first time out have run near the top of the field? And don't say Tommy. I'm not really talking about the rookie driver aspect, it's more about it being a brand new build.

There are lots of places in FL to get materials, especially down south where he's at.
