Well i got a letter last nite from my loving neighbors!!

I am not allowed to run and i quote a "Racing Car Shop" out of my garage any longer. they told me this neighbor hood was for Single familys not " Racing Car Shops" ocasional car repair is ok.. Racing car shops are a NO NO

i guess i have to call the county today and find out what the rules on this matter are.

I keep the car in the garage for the most part, some times after a long race weekend it will still on the trailer for a few days till i get around to unloading it. Im not sure wether they have more of a problem with the fact i have a race car or wether i work on the car at my house.

All i know is that the car is not bad looking! I guess i will have to drag a few rusty fox bodys over to the house and sit them in the drive way. as long as they have tags!!!

Oh they also said we cant keep our boat there eithir!!

Thats why I moved out of the city. I had a stack of letters from them before I moved. I can do whatever I want now. I feel your pain.

Do you live in a HOA community?? Do you run the engine after 9:00 PM. I can drag my wrecked, stripped 92 GT and my stripped 84 GT over and drop them off in your yard. I can get some cinder blocks, too....

All i know is that the car is not bad looking!

its probably the tailpipes sticking out from under the bumper cover that is the nuisance :D

Eric, I feel your pain,

I had a similar letter in my mailbox when I got back from Bowling Green.Seems my HOA didn't like my enclosed trailer being parked in front of my house 1-2 days a MONTH. My neighbors in my cul-de-sac didn't mind it, I guess the pres. of the homo's assoc., opps, homeowner's assoc.didn't like it.:rolleyes:

Time to move to the country...

Yea, I can't wait to get back to the country!

HOA's are full of uppity little snots that get off on playing neighborhood commander. I hate living in a HOA. They act like they are doing everyone a favor by being self-important nutjobs. I will sit outside my garage and wrench all goddamn night, if I want to, thankyouverymuch.

I bet they are going to have a fit when We put a blower on my roommate's car.

I park my enclosed in the guest parking area at my townhouse a few time a year and had a nice neighbor call the police about it once. The officer was nice enough to stop by and inform them that it was indeed parked, legally, and that there was nothing that could be done by the law enforcement. Two weeks later that same neighbor purchased a boat that stays there most of the summer. Funny how things are when the shoe is on the other foot isn't it?

It's also interesting that they didn't have the nuts to simply come speak to you about this yet they live right next to you! I would get your facts straight and play by the rules but I'm sure that you are not doing anything seriously wrong.

Eric - some of us live in neighborhoods where the Gestapo is still alive and kicking strong. Funny thing, how are they going to prove your residence is being used as a "Race Shop". Good luck to them.... The only thing can think of is a noise violation after dusk.

If you live in a homo - owners association, then you have to read the bi-laws. However, I do not foresee any county laws stating you cannot work on your car or park a trailer on your own property, but I could be wrong.

The associations help to keep the appearance and property value up, but our neighborhood Gestapo is on call 24 x 7. You see them counting to ensure all homes have enough trees / shrubs (30 infront of the house), no sheds are allowed, one satellite dish, no commercial vehicles in the driveway, basketball nets must be permanent, etc.

Time to move to an unincorporated area or as stated, out in the country....

oh his friggin street suck for making passes. Damn Tar/Chip road. But if it hooks out there watch out;)

well any who **** them ass holes, the county said i can have a boat there! All i need to do is make sure the car is in the garage 90% of the time!! They said the rule was made so people didnt have ugly POS cars all over. They told me i should be golden
