Did OSM give a 100 lbs break for small bock nitrous and naturally aspirated combos? I know Ohio Valley did but I wasen't for sure if OSM did or not.

Here are the TS rules:

http://www.outlawstreetmadness.com/index.php?option=com_content&task=view&id=14&Itemid=29

SB N/A is at 2700 base
SB NOS is 3100 base

We did make some changes to the NOS combos in the beginning of the year, but i cant remember if it was a straight weight drop or not.

So a big block n/a with 2 carbs has to weigh 3050? Ohio Valley dropped that weight to 2950 and I was just wondering if you had dropped it too.

Thanks

Yup yup currently the BB N/A is at 3050, we didnt drop any weight for the BB. I will have to check out the Valleys rules and look into any changes for next year. Thanks for bringing it to my attention though, i didnt know they had done that.

Joe, didn't know if you noticed. There is a 50lbs. penalty for ladder bars. I couldn't remember if you had them on your car or not. Sorry to hear how Kevin handled the situation with you and your dad at Hardinsburg. I guess you already heard there were only 5 cars in TS at the last OSCA race. They're going to have to get a grip on the program before things get out of hand. Hopefully, we'll see you guys in Terre Haute.

Even though our car works really well at Hardinsburg we will probably not be back. Kevin even ask us not to come back. That's a good thing to tell someone that is trying to support your track and I don't think my dad and I are that hard to get along with.

Our car is stock suspension so the ladder bar rule wouldn't apply. We probably won't make it to Terre Haute even though that is where Larry Bird played college basketball. :)

Sorry to hear of your troubles Joe. I cant understand why any promoter would every say that. No matter what the situation, people need to be mature and keep it business. We might not all get along here all the time but there are a great bunch of racers and i appreciate every one, even the ones that get shitty sometimes haha!

I was wondering if OSM was going to drop the weight penality for ladder bars in true street class.OSCA has not had a penality for a couple years and OVOS has dropped the penality for ladder bars this year.I am wanting to run n/a and need all the help I can get.

Hey Eddie according to the OSCA website, you will be running at the same weight here as you will be there, 2900. So shouldnt be a prob ;) Hope to see ya back this year!

Just My 2 cents I would not follow the others do your own thing . I have raced many other places and I feel like the one and only time I have raced with osm I was treated like I ran with you guys all season . or maybe I just need to run with you guys more so I can have a chance to dislike you all :D :D :D Just kidding

Hey Kelly, yes I have to weigh 2900 at OSCA,and 2950 at OVOS,But with two carbs and ladder bars I calculate 3050 at OSM.That seems a little much for natural aspirated.I hope my calculations are wrong and the 2900 lb. one is correct.

If you would drop the ladder bar hit we could weigh the same at OSM that we do at OVOS.(2950 lbs.)Most other tracks has already dropped the hit for ladder bars. Thanks, Eddie.

Eddie are you SB or BB?

DPouw

He runs a BB

Kelly Pelrine

Oh ok, i thought Eddie was a SB. Well, if we dropped the weight for ladder bars it would put a BB N/A at 3000, we only have a 50lb penalty on the bars. Right now is not the best time to hit me up for any more rule changes..... so i will have to think about it but honestly i am sick of changing things as of right now. If i feel it is warranted then i will post if i make a change, but i am not going to change OSM rules just because other Orgs do. I like to put thought into what i do not change rules on a whim.

Hey Kelly can we put bb/nos at 2750??????????????

As fast as Eddie's car went at the last OSCA race, I think he needs 100lbs added. :)

I just had one good nite,40 degree temp. with no scales and still could not win.But anyone with a 5in bore spaced motor is in a whole different WORLD.Base weight should start at 4000 lbs.and go up from there.Just my opinion.

jmayabb
01-31-2008, 11:10 AM
You mean 5" stroke Eddie, not 5" bore space.

bbcstang

no scales? I guess we can't count on Eddie when the scales are broke and we go on the honor system

eddie patrick

If my memory serves me correct I was not the only car that run low 20's that nite.Matter of fact, nearly everybody ran low 20's that nite.

eddie patrick

And Joe it's nearly a 6 in stroke not 5
