All we need is Stickey Tires (for all), and wieght adjustments to even out all the combo's in F/S
Smackdown was rained out today so Me, Jeff Schmell, and a bunch of friends went to Milan Dragway for T&T. The forcast said 90% chance of ran (with the sun shining), but thats another story....
I took out all my ballast, and bolted up a set of 28X9 slicks. Temps were in the lower 50's and the track was slippery cold and didn't hold any heat. Just ask Schmell as he got sideways in 3rd (on his second pass), and took out a timing marker. ooopppss
1st pass 11.73 @ 115.08 spinning to 1.59 60' It was a get aquainted with the slicks pass (14psi in the slicks), and the car got sideway in 2nd gear.
2nd pass 11.46 @ 116.22 w/ 1.51 60' (adj. shocks & tire pressure)
3rd pass 11.43 @ 116.55 w/ 1.55 60' (lowered tire press. slight boog)
4th pass 11.41 @ 116.86 w/ 1.52 60' (raised launch rpm)
5th pass 11.74 @ 115.97 w/ 1.53 60' (missed 3rd against Schmell)
6th pass 11.43 @ 116.89 w/ 1.53 60' (back to back, no cool down against Schmell)
now I'm not saying we need slicks, but with a well preped track a sticky DOT will give the same results.
The car was exactly the way I ran it in BG other than wieght, tires, and rear springs...
Dawm I had alot of fun today! :)

nice numbers
We went to 131 today and the track temps were about 67 all day
the prep was not to bad they were scraping and spraying it most of the day. there were a few bald spots just had to pick one that had a little rubber left.

You picked up 6 tenths just bolting on sticky tires and taking some weight out...
Well, I guess we were't that far off, some weight, and some more testing to get the DRs working like those slicks are and you're in the hunt.

Scott,
Congrats on your runs. Very good numbers. Think I'd be giving Mr. Zimmerman a call and get one of his suspensions under the car or at least let him work a little magic on what you have. He's closer to you then me or I'd be there in a heartbeat. :)
Congrats!
