With M&H on board now and the comment that Kelly made... i take it that 8.5 is here to stay? That is fine with me... either way works... I think now that the valley dropped the 8.5 class there will be more cars coming to the OSM races next year... I know it will help us out... especially if we get to race at other places other than Cincy... don't get me wrong I love that track... but I would love to see a race or two at Muncie... and possibly somewhere else... see ya'll this weekend....

Yes, 8.5 is staying as is for next year. I will say at this time that Muncie is a possibility but i still have to work things out and see where the dates in the potential schedule will work. Roger is interested though and another track is also :)
Id also like to say that i do think the 275 DR class does have potential and it was not an easy decision. I dont want to get ahead of myself but maybe the DR class is something we can impliment in the future. One thing we have definitely learned this year is to go at our own pace and not try to keep up with the Joneses.

Great... that means that we can only refine what we have this winter... always makes for a better winter when you don't have to re-establish a working combo... all i can say is that we have our work cut out for us... trying to get this N/A car faster is like pulling teeth... but we'll get there...

another point... I am willing to help out with anything that I possibly can... I have spoken with Roger about racing next year at his facility... and I am more that willing to do what I can to help get a couple of races up here next year... hopefully E.T. Raceway is a possiblity... those guys love it when we come...

Thanks TJ i appreciate it! I will keep you & everyone posted on what goes on. Id really like to get some more sponsors nailed down before i decide on the tracks because i would like to raise enough to guarentee all purses next year. If anyone knows of a business or person interested in sponsoring the series next year, please shoot me their contact info so i can get a proposal out to them :)
Also....for this saturdays race, the weather is looking iffy right now...if we do end up calling the race we will do as soon as possible, probably saturday morning. But if you arent sure, either call my cell 513-260-8262 or call Edgewater at 513-353-4666. I'll make sure we let them know what we're going to do.

No need to thank me, its just part of my job and i like to get things done in a timley manner. We all have lives outside of racing but i see no reason why results cant be posted next day or even the same day. Guess i had gotten so used to doing that from working here at SC. We would always make results and photos our top priority and have them up same day (even if it took all night), and i want to be able to bring that same kind of coverge to OSM :)
Im really happy with how things have gone so far this year. I wouldnt invest so much time into this if i didnt think it had potential. And im glad you guys are happy with the level of service we bring. Some thing are out of our hands and there will always be improvements needed but in general i think the majority is cool with what we've been able to do so far. Thanks for racing with us!

The other great thing is that Ohio valley is dropping the 8.5 class so that is one less place every month to race the class... we just had too many options for it... its sad that it was dropped there.... but with you keeping the class there will be more racers for your org. and that will only make things better... I will do what I can this off season to try and make the purse 1000 to win... that is a personal goal of mine... I will get with Kelly soon and try and work on that for all 8.5 racers!!! See you guys tomorrow...:D

i was at kil-kare last night (for the first time this year), and saw a couple cars that are possibly going to be in 8.5 next year. the cars where pretty fast. it looks like next year is shaping up, and going to be tough competition. well have to see what we can do to have sway tim to stick around another season.

the track didnt look too bad, but their where alot of street car dragging water on it.
it sounds like the outlaw 8.5 field is going to grow greatly. its going to be a good time..

Thats not going to happen my man. Its just not that fun when you can't show all of what you have due to the tire not taking the power. There are plenty of people who constantly dog you because you are not as fast as they are with the same combo but with smaller tires. They don't seem to realize that the tire does make a difference. So, now I am going to fix all of that.............

No, next year is out. The little people (Bob) doesn't get to me to much. Just tired of hearing it. Extreme Street looks pretty good to me. Basicly what you are building + some. I plan on spending a bunch of money. You know as well as I do, the power is in the heads. Heads are not cheap...at least good ones aren't !

Ray,
I will be running 8.5 next year and possibly the last race this year. I just need more seat time in the car and some chassis tuning. I haven't even bolted on the 8.5's yet. But it did go 6.0's on the motor off the foot brake with a 1.45 60 ft. on drag radials right after you left thursday. When is your car coming out? I think we may have Jason's car fixed bye the last race also. So there could be two more cars to help out the car count. I just want to try to help the car count out this year and try to get everything the way I want it for next year. Also I am all for having a race at Kil-Kare it's a great track!
