I use calico.. They are on the web.. Good prices and turn around....

I've heard talk of anodizing. Does anyone know if this is the same or a different process?

Whos pistons are you going to use? I use Diamond pistons, and when I bought them I told them I wanted them coated on the skirts. They said ok and when I picked them up they were coated. I would just ask to have them coated when you buy them.

Anodizing is different than coating. Anodizing will keep the aluminum from oxidizing/corroding, but I do not believe that the is much friciton reducing quality to it, unless there is something special out there. Anodizing is just like the AN fittings that are used for braided line, blue, red, gold, black.

I'm getting a set of Diamond P/S pistons and have them coated..

I just took over are coating andporting dept. at are shop there is a write up on some of the differnt coating's how they are applied and what the advantages are located in the link in my profile ... Id be willing to help out on a Nmra car I am out in the west coast so since I cant get out to the eastcoast I'd like to atleast have some parts on some cars... Here is some pics of some demo pistons we have done for customers to see they are a little dirty since they are constantly being handled..
