Would all of you that run the Outlaw series prefer to have a permanant number for the year, or would you rather stick with your own numbers? If you choose to stick with your own, please note that you MUST NOT change your number anytime during the race. Once you qualify with the number you chose you must stick with that number for the remainder of the race. Let the opinions fly!

Thanks!

Kelly

well kel, i can give my opinion, not like its worth much :D . when we go to milan they just use our drag radial number, since we have it from the "other" series. i would say if we have a number like that and u do decide to go the way of permanent numbers, i wouldnt limit it to like a two digit number. so say i come to run you can just make my permanant number 10112. i mean other numbers can be two or three digit numbers dont get me wrong, its just easier since some of already have our numbers on our cars. hmmm......this seems like incoherent rambling, so i better stop. theres my opinion tho

I was thinking:
8.5 - 7000 series
True Street - 8000 series
10.5 - 9000 series

But i hear ya, just tryin to make it easier on everyone. Majority rules :)

We just picked a number last year and ran it for OSCA and VFN. This year NMRA is going to give us a number so it would be cool to run that one all around. But, if you decide to go with permanet numbers shoe polish is cheap, so we'll adapt.

I like the idea! Give's the OSM a big time feel! Chris

Kelly we have not ran your series yet, but I would like to use our NMRA Renegade number if at all possible.:) But if you decide to go with your own numbers for different classes I would totally understand. Travis

I say yes to perminate numbers. It looks GAY when you have to tape over some of the existing numbers on your car. I think it needs to be a number for the organization, not numbr for the class you run in.

Im not sure if im reading some of you right or not hehe so lemme esplain what im meaning when i say permanant #'s....

Perm # is something that only our series would use. You would have to either remove or tape over it if you went to another series. And if you have another number from another series, you would have to remove or tape over that number and use our number system when running OSM.

Your # is the number you currently have on your cars that you use in other series and want to use for ours series also. If you use your number, there would be no class specific # designation for OSM.

Im thinking the majority wants to use the numbers you currently have. Am i correct? I reason i suggested OSM having permanant #'s is because it makes it easier for the fans and the tower personel to distinguish between classes. But either way it doesnt matter to me, its whatever is easier for you guys :)

Is everyone pretty much in agreement with this?

Ill take that as a yes. For the remainder of the 2006 season racers will use the current number you have on your car. We will not assign you a number unless you do not already have one, in that case your number will be whatever is on your tech card.

Thanks!
